The Emergency Medicine Department at KDSG Hospital is the hospital's first point of contact for acute illness and injury. It is staffed around the clock by doctors trained in emergency medicine and critical care, supported by nursing teams experienced in triage and resuscitation.
Patients are assessed on arrival and prioritised by clinical urgency. The department is equipped for airway management, ventilation, cardiac monitoring and bedside procedures, with immediate access to diagnostics and to our intensive care units when a patient needs to be admitted.
Working alongside cardiology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery and critical care, the team is set up to move patients from the emergency room to definitive treatment without delay.
